Ben Davies hopes his start against Hull is 'the first of many' for us in the Premier League.
The Welsh international has been battling it out with Danny Rose for the left-back spot this season.
Danny started our first 11 matches in the Premier League but a rib injury ruled him out of the trip to the KC Stadium.
Ben stepped in for only his second appearance for us in the league - he’s had eight in cup action - and helped us to a 2-1 victory against the Tigers.
“It’s important for me,” he told us afterwards. “I’ve waited a while and I’m delighted to have got there. Hopefully it’s the first of many. I want to kick on from here.”
Ben felt we fully deserved victory as Harry Kane levelled Jake Livermore’s early opener in the 61st minute before Christian Eriksen’s last-gasp winner zipped into the bottom corner from 25 yards.
“We didn’t start well and paid the price for that but we showed the right attitude after the break and with the chances we created, we deserved the win,” added Ben.
“We expected a tough, physical game and that’s what we got.
“We had to fight for it but we got there in the end when Christian popped up with the winner.
“It was a great feeling to see our fans celebrating. It means a lot to us as a squad and we all understand what it means to the fans as well and to send them home happy was a good feeling.”
