Finding Terry Dyson
28 April 2017|Tottenham Hotspur
Thank you to Brian Leveson for contributing the fantastic story of his 55-year wait for a meeting with one of our greatest former players, Terry Dyson.
Brian’s story goes back to when he was an 11-year-old boy, standing outside the Hendon Hall Hotel in May, 1962, to get a copy of his ‘Spurs Supreme’ book signed by every member of the previous season’s historic Double-winning side.
It was only earlier this year that Brian realised there was one signature missing from that invaluable keepsake – and a significant one at that, given it was Dyson’s goal that rounded off the 1961 FA Cup Final win over Leicester at Wembley.
So Brian set about finding Terry and was able to track the legendary winger down to his home address in Hertfordshire where he was delighted to complete the collection of autographs – albeit more than half a century later!
