Ferry Lane football fun
Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).
As part of our on-going partnership with CIS, the Cooperative Insurance Society, the 'Football for All' project has staged another week-long soccer school during the summer holidays.
Working together with 'Kick It Out', footballs' anti-racism organisation, our FITC coaches provided more than 50 children at the nearby Ferry Lane estate in Haringey with free coaching sessions.
Our Reserve Team Manager Colin Calderwood also attended the day-time courses and took part in question and answer sessions with the youngsters.
CIS Community Officer Cheryl Dickson said: "CIS is delighted to be able to offer this opportunity to the local community and hope that all involved gain a lot of fun and enjoyment from the initiative, not to mention improved footballing ability provided by the Tottenham coaches."
The International Academy
Spurs FITC's Residential Courses commenced this summer with the visit of more than 50 youngsters from the United States of America.
In association with The International Academy, a FIFA endorsed organisation based in Cardiff, youth teams from Minnesota and North California were the first to embark on a one-week course at Haileybury College, Hertford.
The University of Minnesota-Duluth, university ladies team, and Norcal & Petaluma, an amalgamation of three groups of boys and girls teams from North California, enjoyed an intense week of football comprising coaching sessions, stadium tours and sightseeing, playing friendly matches and attending a Premiership fixture.
