Fergie feels at home
Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).
It must seem a million miles from Scotland but Stevie Ferguson already feels at home in North London.
It is just a month since the 18-year-old upped sticks from East Fife, based in Methil, just north of Edinburgh across the Firth of Forth, to digs near our training base in Chigwell.
The 18-year-old was snapped up after scoring nine goals in eight games in the Scottish League. And he’s maintained his eye for goal despite the upheaval of his near 500-mile move south.
Ferguson scored on his debut for our Under-19s and was on target for his first reserve team goal against Chelsea on Tuesday night.
He appears to have loved every minute. "Everyone has been great and they’ve all welcomed me," he said.
"Even the first team lads like Sol Campbell and Stephen Clemence have asked me how I’ve been getting on and if I’d had any problems.
"I’ve settled well into my digs, settled with the reserve lads so it’s been good so far.
"I’ve played a couple of times and I’m starting to get in there with the lads. I need games - that is the main thing.
"It would be nice to play regularly for the reserves, even if I’m not starting all the time, and I can still play for the Under-19s as well.
"Hopefully I can get the games, settle in and make a name for myself."
