Federico Fazio has underlined the need for a stronger performance than that which saw us come up short against Leicester when we head to Sheffield United on Wednesday.
The Argentine international defender returned to action in Saturday’s 2-1 FA Cup reverse against the Foxes, having sat out our previous three outings through illness.
Now back in the fold and determined to reach Wembley, the 2010 Copa del Rey winner with Sevilla has called for an improved display at Bramall Lane in the second leg of our Capital One Cup semi-final.
“Saturday was a match that we wanted to win and I think we played well in some parts of the game. We were aggressive all together on the pitch, but some days you’re unlucky in some of your actions and we ended up losing,” said Federico.
“Now we need to think about the next game at Sheffield United. We need to take some of the things that we did well against Leicester and improve on other elements in this game.
“It’s a very important match and we all really want to get to the final. We must improve on our performance from Saturday, fight for what we want and be fully focused.”
