Fast start key - Scott
Scott Parker is looking for a bright start when we kick-off our FA Cup campaign against Coventry City at the Lane on Saturday.
The Sky Blues arrive in N17 in good form with the New Year's Day loss against Shrewsbury their first in 11 matches in all competitions.
Away form has been impressive - seven wins already in League One - and with a healthy visiting support in the South Stand, experienced midfielder Scott knows we have to tune in early to the third round tie.
"These games always turn out to be tricky and not quite as easy as everyone suspects," said Scott, a finalist with West Ham in 2006.
"It will be a tough game and Coventry are doing well in their own league as well. It will be difficult.
"We need to be at it and continue where we’ve left off in the last couple of weeks - and get the result.
"We need to be solid and try to get out of the blocks quickly, to get up against them, try to get an early goal and then dominate the game.
"The team is doing very well. The Christmas period is always an important time and we’ve done brilliantly. We’re looking good. Game by game, we’ve got stronger as well.
"We’re on a very good run and we need to continue that."
