Far Eastern promise
Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).
Steffen Iversen and Oyvind Leonhardsen will get a little taste of what they are missing this summer on Tuesday night.
The Spurs pair are in the Norwegian squad to take on World Cup co-hosts Japan in Oslo.
Norway failed to qualify for this summer's tournament after a finishing fourth behind Poland, Ukraine and Belarus in Group Five. They only won two of 10 qualifying matches.
They now have to build again and Steffen, capped 19 times by his country, hopes to be at the forefront. He sees Tuesday's friendly as the 'start of a new season' for Norway.
Steffen explained: "We play Japan on Tuesday and Iceland next week so that's two good games for us just after the domestic season has finished. Then it's off for a holiday!
"Japan are very highly rated and they've got a few players who have spread out into Europe as well. They are very good players.
"For us, we have home advantage, but it's a new era for us, new players coming in and it's almost like a new season for the national team and that season starts against Japan.
"We have to build again. We definitely have a good enough side to do it. We've had to bring new players in and perhaps that's why we drew games we should have won.
"From now we can concentrate on the squad we've got and if we do that we have a very good chance of making the European Championship Finals."
