Fantastic performance - Harry
Harry Redknapp was full of praise for the team's performance after Sunday’s 3-1 win against Swansea.
Emmanuel Adebayor powered home two headers in the 73rd and 86th minutes to secure another key win after Gylfi Sigurdsson had levelled Rafa van der Vaart’s first-half opener.
The victory moved us back on level terms with Arsenal in the Premier League with the Gunners now in third by one on goal difference with seven matches remaining.
“I thought we were fantastic,” said Harry. “In the first half, the players did everything we asked of them.
“We pressed them, closed them and had all the chances. They started well, first 10 minutes, but then we really got after them all over the park and broke their game up.
“If you are going to stop Swansea playing, it’s hard work. It’s the other side of the game people don’t normally associate with Tottenham.
“We normally outplay teams here, but we knew we had to stop them playing and once we did that, we dominated that first half.
“It was one-way traffic and we could have been two or three up at half-time, but one goal is never enough.
“They came out second half, we couldn’t keep up that pressing and they started to play.
“They scored their goal and it was even-stevens then, but we came back strong again.
“Everyone was on their game. I thought we defended well, got good blocks in, the midfielders all closed down and pressed and Ade getting two goals as well was great for him.”
