Fans 'immense' - Tim

Tim Sherwood was quick to praise our fans after the team's New Year's Day triumph at Manchester United.

As is always the case, the away section was packed and our supporters made themselves heard throughout our 2-1 triumph at Old Trafford.

And they were able to join in the with celebrations close-up after our second goal as Christian Eriksen and Aaron Lennon ran over to our corner of the stadium after the Dane headed home for 2-0.

Emmanuel Adebayor opened the scoring in the first half, Christian made it 2-0 on 66 minutes but United responded immediately for 2-1 and the lads then had to dig deep to secure maximum points.

“Our fans helped us get through it, they were immense,” said Tim.

“I could hear our fans all the time, singing and that lifted the players. I know the lads were really appreciative of that.

“The players showed a lot of character and I’m really proud of them. We’re delighted with the win. It’s fantastic to get the three points.”
