Fans deserved more - Hugo

Hugo Lloris wants to turn words into action in the Champions League.
The skipper proudly led the team out in front of a record 85,011 crowd at Wembley Stadium, connected by EE, on our return to Europe’s top competition against Monaco on Wednesday.
But the Ligue 1 leaders spoiled the party as goals conceded after 15 and 31 minutes proved our downfall. Toby Alderweireld replied just before half-time but we couldn’t find an equaliser in the second half.
“It’s not enough to talk only with words, you need to show the right attitude, more than we showed in the first half,” said Hugo.
“It was a privilege to play at Wembley, the atmosphere was unbelievable and the fans deserved more from us.

“We need to learn as quickly as possible from this game because we still have a chance to go through with five games left.
“The season is long, it’s our first loss and there is big disappointment because there was a lot of expectation in the Champions League.
“We fought all last season to get into the Champions League and now we’re in the Champions League, we need to enjoy it, but we need to perform well, today wasn’t enough.”
