30 June 2015|Tottenham Hotspur
A host of famous names from the world of sport and beyond have been throwing their support behind the campaign to get Harry Kane on the cover of FIFA 16 – and with voting closing this Sunday, you’ve still got time to join them!
Our young striker is one of four Premier League players who could potentially join Lionel Messi on the video game's cover in the United Kingdom and Ireland, with Manchester City's Sergio Agüero, Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois and Jordan Henderson of Liverpool also in contention.
For the first time ever, EA SPORTS have thrown the decision of who earns this distinction open to supporters – and there’s been no shortage of support for Harry so far!
Golf’s former World Number One Luke Donald tweeted his backing for the #VoteKane campaign last night (Monday, June 29) – with Welsh rugby star Sam Warburton and former basketball player Steve Nash having voted for the striker and shared their support on Twitter recently as well.
Adam Richman, host of TV’s Man versus Food, businessman Lord Sugar, One Direction’s Louis Tomlinson, Nashville and The Twilight Saga actor Charlie Bewley and BBC Radio’s DJ Nihal have all also tweeted their backing since voting opened on June 16.
There’s been plenty of support from Spurs players past and present as well, with former favourites Ledley King and Jermaine Jenas joining Harry’s current team-mates and fellow Academy products Ryan Mason and Tom Carroll in nominating last season’s 31-goal hitman.
Each vote you cast is worth one (1) point. You can vote like this once a day until the voting closes this Sunday, July 5.
Every time you vote for Harry, you can share your support on Facebook, Google+ or Twitter using the hashtags #FIFA16UKcover and #VoteKane. When you do this, you earn Harry an additional 10 points.
Meanwhile, here are just some of the individuals who have supported Harry in the campaign so far...
