Family Fun on Tottenham Square!
14 August 2013|Tottenham Hotspur
Tottenham Square hosted out busiest Family Fun Day ever as supporters gave our Espanyol friendly a real summer festival feel.
It was brilliant to see so many young Spurs fans and their families down at the Lane last Saturday for our pre-season game against Espanyol.
There was real buzz around Tottenham Square as the good weather, an afternoon of family fun and some exciting summer signings drew a sell-out crowd to the Lane.
The Fun Day was due to start at 3pm, but fans began arriving from midday to buy their new kit for the season and check out the family fun.
Many Juniors had already played on TottenhamTurfies.com, our brand new Junior online world of fun and football, and our giveaway wristbands and stickers were snapped up.
Young fans and their families had their powers of deduction and observation tested by our TottenhamTurfies Treasure Hunt Challenge, as they searched for clues in and around the stadium.

Out on Tottenham Square, our ever-popular facepainters ensured young fans got to wear their Spurs colours. Spurs Soccer Schools coaches were also in demand as the shots flew in (and occasionally wide-of) their accuracy donut inflatable.
Charlotte Lade from Disney XD’s ‘Goalmouth’ wowed the crowd alongside and our freestyler Lewis, with the kind of ‘worldies’ most of us can only dream about. Charlotte also took time out from demonstrating her awesome freestyle skills to sign autographs and chat to her fans.
Chirpy the mascot was a hugely popular feature of the day, meeting hundreds of his fans and posing for photos. It was a hot day so thanks to all of you who were patient enough to wait for him to return after a quick break for some bird seed and a dip in his giant birdbath!
Thanks for coming along and making it such a great day.
See you again soon at the Lane!
