Fabrice visits the Training Centre

Fabrice Muamba was a welcome recent visitor to the Training Centre.

The former Bolton midfielder was at Hotspur Way as he takes the first steps on a new career path - as a sports journalist.

Fabrice explained: "I've been doing a course for nine months now and I have to make sure I do all my work and preparation for exams in the summer.

"I have knowledge of the game and with the friends I've got, it can only be good for me in the long-term. It's a new challenge and I'm enjoying it."

Fabrice was impressed with the Training Centre. "It's a great facility and can only be beneficial to the club. The future is looking bright for Tottenham Hotspur."

Of course, few Spurs fans will ever forget the night he suffered a cardiac arrest on the pitch at the Lane in an FA Cup replay against Bolton in March, 2012.

After receiving emergency treatment on the pitch from medical personnel of both teams - and a consultant cardiologist who was at the game as a fan - he was rushed to a coronary care unit at the London Chest Hospital.

His heart stopped beating for 78 minutes but amazingly, he survived.

So the big question - how was he? "I'm great," he smiled. "I'm allowed to exercise now, but not too much! I'm just grateful to be alive and it was great to see the docs again."
