FA Youth Cup countdown
Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).
Pat Holland can turn to the words of the great Bobby Moore to help his Academy lads before their big FA Youth Cup date at White Hart Lane.
Nottingham Forest are our third round opponents in the prestigious Under-18 competition and coach Pat expects nerves to be a factor as many of the players step out at the Lane for the first time.
However, in Pat, the youngsters at least have a coach who can speak from his own experiences.
Pat, who played in the FA Youth Cup at West Ham, said: "We always tell them to enjoy it but it's easier said than done.
"It's all down to the individual and we're all different.
"I remember talking to the great Bobby Moore and he said 'if I didn't get nerves, I wouldn't be able to go out and play'. It's how you handle them, control them and the more confident you are in a certain environment, the better you will be.
"He played at Wembley so many times it ended up being like a second home to him but when I played for West Ham against Fulham, I was like a bag of spanners!"
With that in mind, Pat says it's vital the more experienced players in the squad stand up and be counted.
"You've got to be careful the night doesn't effect them," added Pat. "That means you are looking for the more experienced lads.
"Phil Ifil and Jamie O'Hara have played a lot of reserve team football now and they have to be the standard bearers, the lads who encourage the lads through the evening."
