Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).
Due to the profile of the Club, we receive thousands of requests from charities each year. In an effort to concentrate our focus and make more of an impact with our activities we have selected three charities to support over the next two years. The Club now supports charities across the entire geographical scale — local, national and international. We also continue to support charities which we have a long-term relationship with through other bodies and initiatives. Details of our chosen charities are listed below and if you wish to make a donation please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Club will focus on three causes;
Locally, The White House - A Haven House Foundation
Nationally, Cancer Research UK
Haven House Foundation - The White House
Haven House is a children’s hospice offering short tem respite care for children with severe life limiting and life threatening conditions, and also offers hospice care for terminally ill children and their families. The house is situated in Mallinson Park, Woodford Green, North East London
Cancer Research UK
More than one in three people will develop cancer at some point. Few of us go through life without coming into contact with the disease in some way. Cancer Research UK aims to protect and promote the health of the public by research into the nature, causes, prevention, treatment and cure of all forms of cancer. All aspects of cancer research are pursued.
180 million people are blind or have severe visual impairment. 80% of blindness can be prevented or cured by providing access to basic eye care. ORBIS works in partnership with governments, medical professionals and local health workers to eliminate avoidable blindness by running long-term country based programmes and by operating the world’s only Flying Eye Hospital, which has visited over 70 countries.
FOOTBALL AID - LIVE THE DREAM
For the third season running, the Club will support Football Aid — a nationwide initiative run by Clubs up and down the country. Lucky fans can realize their dream by playing a game alongside club legends on White Hart Lane’s hallowed turf. Around half the money raised will go towards Football Aid’s charity arm for diabetes research, and the remainder will be distributed to the Clubs’ nominated charities and the FA Premier League’s nominated Charity, The Princes’ Trust.
THE PRINCES TRUST
The FA Premier League and The Club work closely with The Princes Trust, a youth programme which creates new opportunities for 14-30 year olds in need; those who are unemployed or facing barriers in life. This leading youth charity develops confidence, teaches new skills, gets the youth into work and supports worthwhile business start ups.
