Everton U18s vs Spurs - Kieran's preview

10 April 2015|Tottenham Hotspur

Our Under-18s return to league action on Saturday morning (April 11) with a trip to Everton.

Since our last game in the Barclays Under-18 Premier League on March 21, our youngsters have been in Switzerland to take part in the Bellinzona Tournament – a competition that saw them face a host of top European sides.

Now back on domestic duty, Under-18s Coach Kieran McKenna is looking forward to what he believes will be a tough test for the players.

“We played Everton twice last year and on both occasions we had a very good game,” he said.

“We drew with them at home in the league and then lost 1-0 at Goodison Park in the play-off semi-finals but both were good, testing encounters for our boys.

“Everton play in a similar style to us, so we expect it to be a really high-level game technically, tactically and physically this weekend.”

Kick-off at Everton’s Finch Farm training ground is at 11am. Keep up to date by following us on Twitter @SpursOfficial.
