Euro heartbreak for Scott, JD
Scott Parker played 94 of the 120 minutes as England bowed out of Euro 2012 on penalties against Italy on Sunday night.
Once again, Scott lined-up alongside Steven Gerrard in the centre of midfield and gave everything as England fought to hold out for a goalless draw in the quarter-final in Kiev.
The Three Lions had chances in the first half - Scott drilled a shot wide - but Italy had the best of normal time and extra time.
Scott was replaced by Jordan Henderson four minutes into the extra half-hour and had to watch with unused substitute Jermain Defoe as another penalty shoot-out went against England, this time 4-2 in the Italians' favour.
England's exit ends Spurs interest in the tournament with Rafa van der Vaart's Holland and Luka Modric and Vedran Corluka's Croatia out in the group stages.
Italy's win sets up a semi-final against Germany on Thursday night with Spain taking on Portugal on Wednesday, both matches kick-off at 7.45pm.
