Etienne Capoue insists the team will be ready to bounce back from Wednesday's defeat against City when we travel to Hull on Saturday.
City ran out 5-1 winners at the Lane to end Tim Sherwood’s unbeaten run in the Premier League – our first loss in seven league matches.
The scoreline doesn’t quite tell the full story as City dominated the early stages but only led 1-0 when we started to come back into the game at the end of the first half.
However, a penalty and red card to Danny Rose five minutes into the second half left us trailing 2-0 and down to 10 men and the title favourites made it count.
Etienne gave us brief hope by scoring his first Spurs goal to make it 3-1 but City capitalised on their numerical advantage with two late goals.
“It’s my first goal but not a good result for the team,” reflected Etienne, who came off the bench at half-time.
"Manchester City are a good team. It was difficult with 11 men, so 10 was even harder for us.
“I think we’ll be ready for the next game at Hull. We don’t want to make mistakes. We have to play with heart and give it our best.”
