Erik's 'rabona' strike named Europa League's best
29 May 2015|Tottenham Hotspur
Erik Lamela's famous 'rabona' goal against Asteras Tripolis has been named the UEFA Europa League's best goal of 2014-15.
An expert panel, including former Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson and current Iceland boss Lars Lagerbäck, selected the Argentina international's majestic strike from our 5-1 win at White Hart Lane back in October as the competition's best of the campaign.
Latching onto a loose ball 20 yards from goal, Erik wrapped his left foot around his right and sent a curling effort into the top corner of the net.
That goal put us 2-0 up on the night, with the team going on to complete a 5-1 victory via a second goal from Erik and a Harry Kane hat-trick.
