Mauricio Pochettino expressed his delight after Erik Lamela was called into the Argentina squad for tonight's prestigious friendly against Germany.
The winger takes his place in the squad as July's World Cup finalists meet again, this time in Dusseldorf.
Injury hampered Erik in his first season at Spurs last term but he's been in fine form so far this time around, following a strong pre-season with impressive performances and two assists in AEL and in the 4-0 win against QPR.
"It's very good for Erik, especially after last season when he was injured," said Mauricio, who earned 20 caps for Argentina during his playing career.
"This this is very important for his confidence and belief. It's also important for Tottenham and we're all very pleased for him."
Erik is joined on the international stage tonight by Christian Eriksen, Andros Townsend, Danny Rose, Josh Onomah and Filip Lesniak.
We have 23 internationals on duty across all age levels over the next week - full round-up here...
