Eric targets strong performance

Eric Dier has highlighted the need to prevent Hull City from getting off the mark in Sunday’s clash at the KC Stadium.

We return to Premier League action after the international break with a tough trip north, with three points being a distinct priority as we look to recover from the blow of losing at home to Stoke City in our last outing.

Naturally, defender Eric is always determined to keep the opposition at bay – and he says that’s very much the aim against Steve Bruce’s men.

“A clean sheet is a priority in every game so hopefully we can secure one at Hull,” said the 20-year-old.

“I've watched games of theirs over the season and I'm sure it'll be a difficult test.

“We need to build some momentum and rhythm. Obviously the last result was a while ago but it's still fresh in everyone's minds, so we just want to get back to winning ways.”
