England call for trio

Paul Robinson, Ledley King and Jermain Defoe have been named in Sven Goran Eriksson's England squad for the World Cup qualifiers against Northern Ireland and Azerbaijan.

England face Northern Ireland first at Old Trafford on Saturday before taking on Azerbaijan at St James' Park on Wednesday week, March 30.

England currently top Group Six by a point as they look for the automatic route to the finals in Germany next summer.

The clash against Northern Ireland is the first time the countries have met since 1987.
