Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).
Justin Edinburgh has returned to the club to coach our Academy under-9 team.
Justin retired from playing last season having been at Portsmouth and now links up again with Tottenham, who he served between 1990-2000 after joining from Southend, making almost 300 appearances.
He made the left-back position his own for much of his ten years at the Lane, taking over from Pat van den Hauwe before the arrival of Mauricio Taricco.
"I spoke to Justin towards the end of last season and asked him what he was doing," revealed Academy Director Peter Suddaby. "He was going to retire and move back up here.
"I knew Justin quite few years ago and know he is the kind of character that will do well in helping educate our boys.
"He's going to start with the under-9s, he'll be responsible for their training and matchday preparation and then we'll see where his ambitions lie from there.
"I think people who have played, if they have got some coaching in them, can pass on a fantastic experience that people who haven't played can't.
"He's in the process of obtaining his UEFA B qualification, which is required to work in Academy football and we're looking forward to having Justin on board and he's already been with us for a few sessions.
"I'm sure he'll do very, very well."
Peter is also delighted that another club favourite has been added to the Academy coaching ranks that also include Jimmy Neighbour and Micky Hazard.
"It engenders a Tottenham spirit. We've got quite a few ex-Tottenham players now who are all pulling in the right direction for the youth of the club."
