13 July 2016|Tottenham Hotspur

Josh Onomah and Kyle Walker-Peters both featured as England’s youngsters got their European Under-19 Championship campaign off to a winning start against France on Tuesday evening (July 12).

Midfielder Josh played the full 90 minutes while full-back Kyle was introduced off the bench 20 minutes into the second half as the Young Lions triumphed 2-1 in Heidenheim, Germany.

Chelsea’s Dominic Solanke added to an early own goal from Jerome Onguene to put England in the driving seat, with Jean-Kevin Augustin pulling one back for France just after the half-hour mark.

England sit second in Group B behind the Netherlands, who will be their next opponents on Friday.
