Doug: It was my<br>privilege

Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

Doug Livermore looks back on his 10 years at Spurs and admits: "It was an absolute privilege."

Our former coach and co-manager returns to the Lane in his post as Norwich City's assistant manager on Sunday.

Doug coached under Terry Venables before taking his co-manager role with Ray Clemence in the 1992-93 season, guiding us to eighth and the semi-finals of the FA Cup.

"I'm looking forward to it," said Doug of the Premiership clash. "I spent 10 years at Tottenham, 10 years I'll never forget and I'm delighted to be coming back with Norwich City.

"They were great days. I look back now and think what a great privilege it was for me to at such a fantastic club.

"Two games stand out for me. In 1991, the FA Cup semi-final against Arsenal at Wembley when Gazza scored that free-kick - that will never, ever leave me. And the other, winning the final. Those two will stay with me forever. Great, great days."

Doug is hoping for more great days this season as Norwich look to add points to a promising start - draws against Palace and Newcastle, defeats against United and Arsenal.

"When the fixture list came out it was Palace at home, Manchester United, Newcastle and Arsenal - what an introduction to the Premiership for us," added Doug.

"To be fair the lads have done very well in the games and take a lot of credit.

"The only thing missing for us is that we've played four games and we've only got four points whereas the way we played perhaps we deserved more.

"It's up to us to take those positives and make sure we get some more points on the board."
