Doors open to London’s new outstanding educational opportunity
08 September 2017|Tottenham Hotspur
This week saw the opening of the London Academy of Excellence Tottenham (LAET), a new outstanding educational opportunity for young Londoners, based on the site of our new stadium development scheme.
The new sixth-form, which is delivered in partnership between Highgate School and the Club, will bring expert teaching from some of the country’s top independent schools to young people in one of the capital’s most underprivileged areas.
The first day of the new academic year brought 127 Year 12 students through the doors of the LAET, of which 75 are from within three miles of the school and 86 per cent of the GCSE grades they have arrived with are A*-B.
Recruitment for the LAET is ongoing for the 2018/19 academic year.
