Dnipro vs Spurs - Harry expecting 'difficult match'

Harry Kane confirmed our squad’s collective desire to do well in the Europa League ahead of our return to action in the competition on Thursday.

We travel to Ukraine to take on FC Dnipro in the first leg of our round of 32 tie, with the players keen on making progress in a bid to emulate – and better – last year’s run to the quarter-finals.

Striker Harry admitted that away games on the continent are never easy, but has reiterated the lads’ hunger for success on all fronts.

“Every game from now on, especially away from home, is going to be hard in this competition,” he said.

“We know Dnipro is a tough place to go and we can expect a difficult match. But we’ve got to stay in the right frame of mind and get the job done.

“We want to get as far as we can in this competition, so everyone is looking forward to the game on Thursday.”

Dnipro retained the services of dangerman Yevhen Konoplyanka in the January transfer window despite reported interest from Premier League clubs.

And while Harry admitted the Ukrainian international is someone we’ll have to keep at arm’s length, our 20-year-old striker believes he won’t be the only player capable of causing us problems this week.

“I’ve seen Konoplyanka in action against England and he looks like a great player,” Harry said. “They’re going to have some good individuals and they’ll be a good team, so we know what to expect from them.

“But like I said, we’ve got to get the job done.”
