Djorkaeff the danger

Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

Youri Djorkaeff has proved a thorn in our side in the past - Steffen Freund pinpoints the French star as Bolton's potential dangerman again tonight.

We first came up against the World Cup and European Championship winner in the UEFA Cup in 1999.

Djorkaeff was the star turn for Kaiserslautern in the second round tie and in a heartbreaking exit for us in the second leg in Germany, helped create the vital equaliser as we crashed out 2-1 with two goals in injury time.

The 35-year-old arrived at Bolton in February last season and again created a goal against us, this time Dean Holdsworth's leveller in the 1-1 draw at the Reebok Stadium in April.

He followed those assists up with a goal at the Lane as we toppled the Trotters 3-1 earlier this season.

"He is very skilful on the ball and very fast," said Steffen. "If he has the ball and controls the ball, it is difficult to catch him.

"He has good eyes and is always in a situation where he can score goals for your team. If he's fit, he's a dangerous player.

"I can remember the game in Kaiserslautern. It was the last minute and I tried to go forward to give us a break because we'd been under a lot of pressure.

"We lost the ball and I was a little late getting back and he created the chance for the goal.

"That is his strength, he creates and you have to be careful not to lose him. If you lose him then he will create something and with Okocha alongside him, they are the key players for Bolton.

"Both him and Okocha have the skill to turn a game, to create something from nothing. If we keep him out of the game, we have a good chance to win."
