WE ALL FELT confident before Bolton and I don't know what it is at the moment. I've heard people talk about commitment but you're on the pitch and running your heart out and sometimes you can't get close to people. Teams like Bolton pump it long and it's been the case since I've been here that we struggle to overcome those type of teams. I felt confident when we went out there but Bolton are very direct and it was difficult to deal with. They didn't cut us open and the two goals were very messy goals and we couldn't break them down. It's frustrating and difficult to deal with but we've got an opportunity on Sunday to get some pride back.
I HAVE to admit I was feeling pretty down in the early part of the week. You look at the whole situation and you feel like you're letting youself down, your family, friends, the fans and you look at the table, that's the worst thing. But we've got to be positive. We're all focusing on Arsenal and we'll all be giving it our best shot.

THE BASIC facts are that Arsenal are flying and we're not doing very well but it's an opportunity to turn things around. We're at home and I'm sure the fans will be behind us. It's been difficult for us and difficult for them but one thing I do know is that we've got to all stick together now. Arsenal are the best team in the country, no two ways about it, but it's a derby, we'll be giving it our all and it will be great if we're all celebrating at the end of the game.

WE KNOW all about Arsenal but I will say we always play better against the better teams. They will play football, we try to play and it's a better match. Look at the home games against Chelsea, Liverpool and Newcastle. I'm not expecting them to dominate us on Sunday and in years gone by, especially at White Hart Lane, they've always been close games. We're the home side and we'll be looking to go for the win. It's a massive game and one you look forward to at the start of the season. There is an extra buzz about it and we know what we have to do.

HOW DO you prepare for a team like Arsenal? You think about what challenge you have ahead and look forward to it. You can't be scared it it. They are just human beings as well and I believe in my ability. We're at home and we'll be looking to get on the front foot. You want to make them worry about us rather than let them go forward. You need to make them track back. That's how you've got to approach it and it might not always turn out how you want it to, but that's how we have to go into the game. I want them to be worrying about us and that's how we all feel. We all believe in our ability. It's not happening at the moment and you doubt yourself at times but you don't turn into bad players overnight or in a few weeks. We've done it before and we have to believe in ourselves.

All the best,<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> Simon
