Dier on Danny

Eric Dier says Danny Rose fully merits his place in the England squad.
The flying full-back is one of five Spurs players called up by Roy Hodgson for the friendlies against Germany in Berlin on Saturday and Holland at Wembley Stadium on Tuesday night.
Capped 29 times at Under-21 level and a member of the GB squad for the 2012 Olympics, Danny, 25, has yet to be capped at senior level by the Three Lions.
But that looks likely to change after Southampton’s Ryan Bertrand - the only other recognised left-back in the squad - was ruled out by injury.

“It’s great news for Danny to be called up,” said Eric, who won his first senior caps in the last international break in November.
“I think this season he’s been the best left-back in the Premier League so it’s well deserved and obviously the same for Dele, Harry and Kyle, everyone deserves to be in there.
“It’s full credit to the club, the manager and of course ourselves for taking our chances and playing well at Spurs.”
