Dier delighted with 'scruffy goal' in key win at Burnley

Eric Dier rediscovered his goalscoring instinct at the perfect time against Burnley - much to his relief!
The England international provided a touch of class to plant home the crucial opening goal after 66 minutes of our 2-0 win at Turf Moor - his first of the season.
Christian Eriksen's corner missed everyone at a crowded near post, Burnley's Jeff Hendrick hit his clearance straight to Eric who controlled and picked his spot from 10 yards.
Heung-Min Son added the second goal 10 minutes later to secure three valuable points in what is one of the toughest away tests in the Premier League.
"I’m really happy to have scored," said Eric. "I was getting more and more worried that I wasn’t going to get a goal this season so to score a scruffy one is great to get up and running for the season!"
It was just reward for Eric, who started the game as part of our back three before moving into midfield following the departure of both Victor Wanyama and Harry Winks to injury. Eric and Mousa Dembele were excellent in the engine room in the second half in what was a controlled and determined performance - and our 11th win in the last 14 in the Premier League.
"We’re doing really well, we've maintained our home record and now we’ve a couple of tough away games, starting here at Burnley which is always one of the hardest away matches," he added.
"We had two setbacks in the first half with Harry and Victor and that made it even tougher so to come away with the win and the way we did it was fantastic.
"Now it’s Swansea (away on Wednesday night) who are in a dogfight at the bottom, another tough game and we have to be ready. We want to keep this momentum going."
