Delight for Sandro
Andre Villas-Boas led the tributes for Sandro after another fine display was capped by a rare goal in the 3-0 win at Fulham.
The midfielder's 35-yard piledriver to open the scoring on 56 minutes was key to victory at Craven Cottage.
Fulham had to push forward after that strike and we took advantage with two more clinically-taken goals from Jermain Defoe to wrap up maximum points.
"He's such a good player," said Andre. "In a performance like this, it's difficult to single out individuals, but Sandro has been amazing for us.
"Aaron Lennon as well, his workrate offensively and defensively has been oustanding. He's an important player having an extremely good season."
Jermain described Sandro's performances as 'great for the team'.
"He doesn't get many goals and everyone is delighted for him," said JD. "He does so much for the team, he works so hard. He's a real fighter."
Clint Dempsey added: "Sandro had the confidence to take the shot, credit to him. That jump-started things, it opened the game up. Fulham had to push more men forward and we were able to find the gaps behind their midfield to release Jermain. It worked well for us."
