Dele's delight at getting started

Dele Alli’s excitement at becoming a Spurs player has only been heightened since the start of pre-season training.
A January, 2015, signing from MK Dons, Dele told us at the time of his arrival how it was a “dream come true” to join the Club.
Back with the Dons on loan for the rest of last season, the 19-year-old midfielder won countless awards for a tremendous campaign in League One before reporting in for the first day of pre-season training at Hotspur Way last Friday – joining the first group of players to return from their summer breaks.
He’d already been in for some extra individual sessions in June, but now he’s begun training with the squad for the first time, the 2014-15 Football League Young Player of the Year says the events of this last week have only exacerbated his initial joy at signing for us.
“I’m definitely still really excited – I’d say even more so now,” said Dele, who scored 16 goals in 39 league games for the Dons last term. “Over the last week I’ve had a chance to play and train with the players a bit and to see how hard they all work, which is really inspiring to me.
“It’s been great to join the squad and work with such talented players. As members of the team, you spend so much time together throughout the season so you’re naturally going to get together quickly and start to gel.
“We’re a team so we’re all going to help each other out and we all bring different things to the table, so hopefully I can bring something and work well with the boys.
“I’m really looking forward to the challenges ahead this season.”
