Dele working hard

Dele Alli believes he’s reaping the benefits of a series of extra-curricular training sessions over the summer.
The 19-year-old midfielder, signed after an outstanding season for MK Dons last term, was part of the first group of players to officially report for pre-season training last Friday.
He’s already demonstrated impressive fitness levels in his first week, but he revealed that’s partly down to a number of days he spent working individually at Hotspur Way over the summer.
“I’ve been coming in a lot during the off-season and putting in some work, and thankfully that’s been showing,” said Dele, who has taken part in some strenuous running sessions in recent days.
“I’d say I’ve always naturally been quite good at long-distance running, it’s not really something I get scared of or worried about.
“With all that’s been going on, it’s been a good few days. All the lads are really fit here and I wasn’t expecting anything different to be honest.
“We’ve got a great group and everyone works really hard. Kyle Walker and Danny Rose have been impressive so far, Nabil Bentaleb came back this week as well so I’m just happy to be part of it as we all try to do well.”
