Dele in contention for second award

Thu 16 April 2015, 11:47|Tottenham Hotspur

Following his nomination for the Football League’s Young Player of the Year award earlier this week, Dele Alli has now been shortlisted for the Sky Bet League One Player of the Year prize.

Our 19-year-old midfielder, on loan at MK Dons following his arrival at White Hart Lane in January, joins Luke Freeman (Bristol City) and Joe Garner (Preston North End) as nominees for the divisional gong.

Votes were cast by each of the 24 managers in League One, with the winner to be announced on Sunday at the 10th annual Football League Awards.

The news caps a fine week for Dele, who claimed a goal and an assist in the Dons’ 3-0 win at Fleetwood Town on Tuesday night, having earlier been nominated for the Football League's Young Player of the Year award.
