Dele frustrated by Everton draw

Dele Alli was disappointed not to be able to cap his home debut with all three points at the weekend.
The energetic midfielder made his third appearance of the season as a substitute – and his first at White Hart Lane – during the second half of Saturday’s goalless draw with Everton.
On for the injured Mousa Dembele, Dele got straight into the thick of the action as both teams showed their determination to win the game with the tackles flying in.
But with clean sheets apiece at the end and the points ultimately shared, the 19-year-old admitted he was left wanting more from our clash with the Toffees.
“It feels like we dominated the game,” he said. “You obviously want to win the match and when it’s that close and you know you’re in control you can get a bit frustrated.
“The tackles were going in from both sets of players but that’s just the desire to win the game.
“It was hard to come into a match like that but I’m happy to get more minutes. The fans were unbelievable and they helped us, but unfortunately we couldn’t get that goal to win the game.”
Reflecting on the opportunities we had during the contest, Dele agreed with the sentiments of many of his playing colleagues that the amount of chances we created warranted a better result.
“We all know that to win, you need to be clinical and I feel like we had more than enough chances to put the game to bed,” he added.
“It’s just one of those things – on another day we’d have won the game comfortably.”
