Deano targets return

Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

Dean Richards is hoping to return to action against Celtic at the Lane tonight after missing out on the weekend games due to concussion.

Deano took a bang to the head that needed treatment against Crytal Palace last Wednesday. He was fit to continue, but then got another bump that left him feeling dizzy and the big centre-half was withdrawn.

Glenn quipped afterwards that it 'might knock some sense into the big fella...'.

"It's alright," said Dean on Monday. "It settled down over the weekend and I trained today, will step it up tomorrow and hopefully it should be okay to play on Wednesday.

"It was more dizzyness than anything else. It wasn't too bad - I've had worse than that.

"I had a little clash of heads about five minutes after the original one and I was feeling a bit dizzy so it was better to come off.

"I had a bit of a swollen eye, but it's alright now and I didn't have to go to hospital or anything."

The added problem for Dean is missing a chunk of vital pre-season preparation, but he hopes to make up for it against Celtic and Lazio.

"That's the problem. I missed a couple of games over the weekend and came off early last week. The plan was to get a 90 against Palace and another one at the weekend so it's been a bit of a problem.

"Hopefully I'll catch up over the next two games," added Dean, who says he is looking forward to the prospect of possibly marking the prolific Henrik Larsson.

"It'll be nice if he's playing, it'll be a tough test for us and they are obviously a good side."
