Deano seeks to banish the negatives
Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).
Dean Richards says putting three points on board against Southampton would go a long way to sweeping away the negative press recent results has attracted.
Defeats to Fulham and Chelsea have seen the team receive the sharp edge of media comment and Dean knows that followers of his former club Southampton would revel in inflicting further punishment.
"We've got to be ready for it," he said. "It is horrible when you are losing games and it brings a lot of negativity. When you look in the press, it is all negative and it comes with losing games.
"There is no better thing to do than just win your next one. Then you have three points of the board and start looking forward to the next game with everyone in a positive mood. That is the key."
Saints sit fifth in the Premiership table and are unbeaten so far in the campaign - a run that also included the scalp of champions Manchester United.
"They are definitely a good side - they have come on under Gordon Strachan. They are a fit team, I still speak to some of the lads there and he works them very hard in training.
"So they are very fit and well organised and it is going to be a tough game, there is no getting away from that.
"There is probably not many other teams who would like to rub our noses in it more than them - we've got to be prepared for that," he reiterated, before added that that the newly-formed striking partnership between James Beattie and Kevin Phillips is one to be wary of.
"Definitely, Phillips has thrived playing off a big player like Niall Quinn and Beatts is in the same mould as Quinn.
"He gets a lot of knock ons and lay-offs, so I think Phillips will relish playing with Beatts."
