Dawson on the Jenas-factor
Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).
Michael Dawson didn't use too many words when it came to describing his former Forest team-mate and current St James Park star Jermaine Jenas, who could well be featuring in the Newcastle midfield in our FA Cup quarter-final tie on Sunday.
"He's brilliant," said Michael of the midfielder who already has over 100 Newcastle appearances and 10 England caps to his name - all at the tender age of 22.
He joins fellow young Englishmen Kieron Dyer and Lee Bowyer in a midfield that can run and run all day long.
Jenas is another player off the production line at Forest that has produced the likes of Michael, Andy Reid, David Prutton and Marlon Harewood.
"Jermaine went to Newcastle, did fantastic and got the England call-up," said Michael. "He's got stronger and stronger from there and I've noticed he's been captain a couple of times this season.
"Myself and Reidy played in the same youth team, Forest's Under-19s, and he was a great player back then.
"You look at him and he looks a slight lad but he gets up and down, he's great on the ball and can mix it as well if he needs to. He can do everything and I even remember him playing centre-half at times at Forest.
"He's gone onto big, big things and I'm sure he'll be an England regular in the future."
