Michael Dawson thinks it will be fascinating to pit our wits against fellow Premier League teams in the Barclays Asia Trophy this pre-season.
But the skipper insists three words mean more than anything in Hong Kong – hard work and preparation.
We make the trip to Asia for the prestigious tournament at the end of July.
We take on Sunderland in our first match on Wednesday, July 24 and will then play either Manchester City or local team and our club partners South China FC on the Saturday, July 27.
“It will be interesting to go away and play English teams in pre-season,” said Michael, who enjoyed such an impressive second half of last season.
“I’m sure it will be good test and the atmosphere will fantastic out there.
“It’s all about hard work and preparing for the first game of the season. That’s the most important thing. It’s pre-season, we’ll be focused and all working towards that first game against Palace.”
