Daws confident we'll bounce back

17 November 2013|Tottenham Hotspur

Michael Dawson is convinced we can hit back again after defeat last time out against Newcastle.

We somehow lost against the Toon despite registering 31 efforts at goal – Tim Krul producing a Premier League high of 14 saves at the Lane.

Skipper ‘Daws’ has helped his team-mates respond in style to the setbacks against Arsenal and West Ham so far this term.

Post-Arsenal, we put together four straight wins and went six matches unbeaten up to West Ham and we responded to that loss with a run of six matches without defeat, including four wins and progress in the Capital One Cup and Europa League.

Then came the Newcastle game...

“We had the disappointments against Arsenal and West Ham and came back and put it right,” said Michael, who is now on 299 appearances for us.

“We’ve had some great results after those defeats.

“We’ve tried not to dwell on the Newcastle defeat and we’ll come back again. That’s the spirit we have at the club.”
