Michael Dawson is targeting two wins back in front of our fans at White Hart Lane this week.
After three games on the road at Newcastle, Ukraine and Norwich, we’re back at the Lane on Thursday night for the second leg of our Europa League Round of 32 tie against FC Dnipro.
We have to overturn a 1-0 deficit from last week’s first leg at the Dnipro Arena to take our place against either Benfica or PAOK in the Round of 16 – Portuguese giants Benfica hold a 1-0 advantage from the first leg in Greece.
The skipper says the lads are determined to progress in the Europa League and put right Sunday’s 1-0 Premier League loss at Carrow Road.
“The first leg in Dnipro was a big disappointment and we wanted to go to Norwich and put that right,” said Michael.
“We didn’t do that, so we get another chance on Thursday back at the Lane, back in front of our fans and it’s a big game.
“It’s a competition we want to do well in so as disappointed as we are, we have to pick ourselves up. We know the fans will be right behind us and they deserve a big performance after the two defeats we’ve had.
“In football, you always get another chance and on Thursday, we’ve got that and then on Sunday at home to Cardiff. These are two huge games for us.”
