Davis on reserve return
Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).
Sean Davis suspects he made significant strides towards full fitness in Monday evening's reserve clash against Charlton Athletic following his return from knee surgery.
It was no stroll in the park at the Valley and the game was played at full tilt. The home side included the likes of Chris Perry, Mark Fish, Jason Euell, Francis Jeffers and Jonatan Johansson in their line-up - making it the ideal contest for Sean to begin sharpening his match fitness after featuring for an hour of a training ground game last week.
"It was a good game, much better than the one the other day and I enjoyed it," reported the midfielder afterwards.
"I'm getting there, obviously it is not going to come overnight as I haven't played a decent game of football for quite a while now. I'm just finding my feet, it is good that we've got such a young and enthusiastic reserve team to get me going - I'm the old boy.
"I felt pretty good towards the end so hopefully, with another 90 minutes, I should be getting back to full fitness fairly soon."
Despite his natural desire to get back into the first team fold, Sean concedes that more games of this nature will be beneficial for him over the coming weeks.
"I've been training hard and trying to work my socks off in training. You need games, that is the main thing, and if I can get a few more games at this level and tempo my stamina should improve.
"I am prepared to be patient, I've been out for so long and there is no need to rush it."
