Davies dreams of full debut
Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).
Simon Davies is aiming to make his mark on the big international stage on Saturday.
Our outstanding young midfielder is hoping for a piece of the action when Wales take on group leaders Poland in a crucial World Cup qualifier in Cardiff’s Millennuim Stadium.
The 21-year-old made his debut as a substitute in Wales’ last World Cup outing against Sergei Rebrov’s Ukraine in March.
He then caught the eye in a run of Premiership games through April and May.
With that form behind him and the likes of Ryan Giggs waxing lyrical about him, Simon may just have done enough to persuade boss Mark Hughes to hand him his full debut.
Simon said: “It’s great to be involved in the full squad and that has to be my aim, to make an impression there. The end of this season couldn’t really have gone much better and now I have to live up to it.
“I’ve put myself in a good position. I’ve finished the season well, joined up with Wales and I’m full of confidence.
“These are massive games for Wales. We have to win both really to have any chance of qualifying. The home game against Poland will be massive and it would be great to be involved in that one.”
