David's Groundhog Day
Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).
David Pleat praised the lads for digging out a draw but conceded that individual errors cost us dear in the 4-4 thriller against Leicester City.
We looked comfortable leading 3-1 at half-time but Foxes hit back to lead 4-3 despite losing Jamie Scowcroft to a straight red card.
With just two minutes left, Ledley King found Jermain Defoe in a yard of space and the striker crashed in his second of the game for 4-4 - making it 28 goals in our last four games.
David reflected: "There was a great anticipation here today of winning and going up to seventh or eighth but what I'm very pleased about is that the players stuck with the game to the end.
"They could have withered and died at 4-3. It was Groundhog Day and we've seen it all before.
"I am going to turn it into a positive because we have just scored four goals for the third consecutive game for the first time since 1986 which proves to me we have people capable of making and scoring goals.
"What we have to do is learn that we can't continue to make individual mistakes and get away with it.
"We should have won the game because we were two goals clear but we disappointed ourselves with individual errors.
"In the last four games it has been Groundhog Day. I have never known this Groundhog Day so I am going to watch the film."
