Danny Rose made a surprise visit to South Harringay Junior School this week on behalf of Tottenham Hotspur Foundation.
The Club’s charitable body delivers multi-sports sessions within a number of schools across our local community, encouraging sports participation and healthier lifestyles amongst young people, while assisting the schools in their provision of Physical Education.
South Harringay is just one of the schools that benefits from the programme, and its students were thrilled when left-back Danny entered the playground to join their afternoon football skills session.
The 24-year-old took part in a number of drills with the Year 3 students, as well as taking a few questions from the excited youngsters and signing autographs.
Danny said: “Having always wanted to be a footballer, PE lessons were always the highlight of my time at school, and it’s so important that kids are encouraged to take part in sport at a young age to keep them active and help them make new friends.
“Coming back to school for the day certainly bought back some memories, and the kids were clearly enjoying the session, which is credit to the coaches from Tottenham Hotspur Foundation, who do a great job.”
