Danny eyes more derby glory
20 February 2015|Tottenham Hotspur
Danny Rose has targeted a hat-trick of London derby wins for early 2015 with West Ham United next up at the Lane on Sunday.
The left-back was among our scorers as we saw off Chelsea 5-3 in a New Year’s Day thriller, before playing his part in another memorable victory – a 2-1 triumph over Arsenal in the North London derby a fortnight ago.
With another of our close capital rivals opposing us this weekend, the 24-year-old is determined to help us complete a seasonal double over the Hammers following our 1-0 opening day win at Upton Park.
But he’s warned it’ll be no easy task against the eighth-placed visitors.
“To be fair, it will be a difficult game,” said Danny, who was on the bench for Thursday night’s 1-1 draw with Fiorentina in the Europa League.
“West Ham are having a very good season, particularly compared to last year. They are a strong side with some good players and it’s another London derby here at the Lane, so it will be tough.
“We’re in good form though, we will look to play the same way we have been doing over the last few months and hopefully we can get three more points.
“The fans especially love a derby win so it will be great to do it for them again.”
