Danny Rose was only 17 when he joined the squad at Wembley for our League Cup triumph over Chelsea back in 2008.
The flying full-back joined our Academy from Leeds United in July, 2007 and six months on, was at Wembley as Jonathan Woodgate's extra time winner saw us come from 1-0 down to topple the Blues.
"I was at the Club when we beat Chelsea in 2008 and was at Wembley to see us win," he said. "It was fantastic and I've mentioned to the lads here now that it's such a great day out if you win."
Seven years on, and he's ready to follow in the footsteps of the class of 2008.
Danny, now 24, made his debut for us in the same competition at his home-town club Doncaster in August, 2009 and has now appeared 83 times for us in all competitions, scoring seven goals - including notching in our memorable 5-3 win against Chelsea in the Premier League on New Year's Day.
He added: "The final is obviously something everyone at the Club and all our supporters are looking forward to and the players are no different.
"Our result and performance against Chelsea in January has to give everyone a bit of confidence that we can do it again.
"We are a young side that went toe-to-toe with the best team in the league last month and gave them a very difficult game. I'm sure that will be on their minds on Sunday."
