Daniels ready for Leeds test
Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).
Charlie Daniels hopes to transfer his goalscoring prowess from the reserves back to the the under-17s when the first years take on Leeds United in the FA Premier Academy play-off quarter-finals on Saturday.
The 17-year-old midfielder has made three appearances for the second-string in his first season full-time at the club, scoring our first goal last time out in the 2-2 draw against Derby at Pride Park.
Back with his own age-group preparing for the trip to Leeds, Charlie says the boys are seeking a repeat of the performance of the season that saw them overcome Arsenal 2-0 back in October.
"We are all hyped up about it, it should to be good and we've got a nice bunch of lads here, we are all together and have been for quite a long time now," considered the Harlow-born player who, along with several of his year group, as been pushed up the ranks this term.
"Quite a few of the boys moved up, but it will be like the Arsenal game which will be good for us.
"Everyone wants to win it and get some glory for the club. If we don't win the season is over so there is every incentive to win."
And what about that reserve goal?
"It was a nice feeling. To be in the team with Postiga and Jacko around me was good and it was great to score a goal. It is good that they have pushed a few of us through and we have taken our chances."
