Radek Cerny had little hesitation in pointing out his man to watch when rivals Arsenal arrive at the Lane tomorrow (Saturday, 12.45pm).Our ever-reliable number two goalkeeper looked no further than his Czech Republic compatriot Tomas Rosicky. “He’s on fire,” said Radek. “He’s scored in Arsenal’s last two games against Bolton and Manchester City and is getting better and better.
“He’s quick, technically very good, he can pass forward to the strikers, he can shoot, finish, he’s a fine player.
“He was an important player for the Czech team when Pavel Nedved finished and he’s now captain of the national team. He can play left or right but for me, his best position is in the middle.”
Radek feels our home games will be vital as we aim for a UEFA Cup place again – a target he’s sure we can achieve. “Yes, we can do it,” he said. “It’s important to try and get a win in this game and then we finish at home against Blackburn and Manchester City.
“We’ve had a strong finish to the season and we are confident.”
